From January 28 to date, the Federal League remained active day after day, with games every night throughout the country. After 104 days, the regular stage of the competition will end next Friday, May 12.
From then on, the postseason phase will begin, with play-in stages in some divisions, while others will enter the playoffs directly. Next, we review the format of each conference and the estimated date on which the games will be played.
ON
From 5th to 12th they will play a reclassification (5th vs. 12th, 6th vs. 11th, 7th vs. 10th and 8th vs. 9th) to the best of three games with a 1-2 format and advantage of location to the best located. The matches will be played on May 13, 16 and 17 (if necessary).
The four winners will be ordered according to their positions in the regular phase and will play playoffs (always the best of three with a 1-2 format) against the best four in the division. The estimated dates are May 21, 24 and 25 (if necessary). The winners of these matchups will be ranked according to their finish in the table and advance to the interconference playoff stage.
SOUTHEAST
There will be a play-in match on the field of the best positioned between 7th and 10th and also between 8th and 9th, while the 11th will finish their participation in the tournament. The play in will be played on Monday the 15th.
After that, the eight teams will be reordered according to their position in the regular phase and will begin their playoff stage, 1st vs. 8th, 2nd vs. 7th, 3rd vs. 6th and 4th vs 5th. The four winners qualify for the interconference playoffs.
CENTER
A first instance of the zonal playoffs will be played. In Zone 1 they will play 1st vs. 8th, 2nd vs. 7th, 3rd vs. 6th and 4th vs 5th, while in 2, the first will advance directly to the next round, and the rest will face each other in the same way as in the other group (2nd vs. 7th, 3rd vs 6th ° and 4 ° vs 5), always to the best of three with a 1-2 format and advantage to the best located. The estimated dates are May 16, 19 and 20 (if necessary).
After this stage, the inter-zonal playoffs will arrive, for which the winners will be reordered according to their position in the regular phase. The first of each zone will go before the fourth of the other, and the same will happen with the second of one and the third of the other. These meetings are scheduled for the 25th, 28th and 29th. The winners of each series advance to the interconference playoffs.
METROPOLITAN
Play-in matches will be played in each of the zones, 7th vs. 10th and 8th vs 9th, one game away from the best positioned on the court. This will happen on May 15.
The winners will be rearranged along with the rest of the qualifiers and will play 1 vs. 8th, 2nd vs. 7th, 3rd vs. 6th and 4th vs 5th, on May 19, 23 and 24 (if necessary), with a 1-2 format and advantage to the best placed. Those who prevail in each series will play crossover with their rivals from the other zone, 1st vs. 4th and 2nd vs. 3rd. It is estimated that these clashes will be on May 27, 30 and 31 (if necessary).
NEA
The only play in of the division will be played between 8th and 9th, a home game of the best ranked, on May 15. The winner will go to the best of the regular phase. The rest of the playoff duels will be 2nd vs. 7th, 3rd vs. 6th and 4th vs 5th, and they will play May 19, 22 and 23 (if necessary), always with a 1-2 format and advantage to the best positioned. The four winners advance to the interconference playoffs.
COAST
A first crossed play-in will be played between zones, a match with the locals for the best placed on May 15. The crossings will be like this:
Play in 1- 5° (zone 1) vs. 7° (zone 2)
Play in 2- 6° (zone 1) vs. 6° (zone 2)
Play in 3- 5° (zone 2) vs. 9° (zone 1)
Play in 4- 7° (zone 1) vs. 8° (zone 1).
The winners go from round to the second play-in, for which the third and fourth places of each zone are integrated, also to a home game of the best positioned. They will play as follows, on May 18:
Play in 5- 3° (zona 2) vs. Ganador Play in 4.
Play in 6- 4° (zona 2) vs. Ganador Play in 1.
Play in 7- 3° (zona 1) vs. Ganador Play in 3.
Play in 8- 4° (zona 1) vs. Ganador Play in 2.
After the play-in instance, the first and second teams in each zone are integrated into the postseason and the playoffs begin, to be played on May 21, 23 and 24, with a 1-2 format and home advantage to the best located. The confrontations will take place in this way: 1st (zone 1) vs. Winner of play in 6, 2nd (zone 1) vs. Winner of the play in 5, 1st (zone 2) vs. Winner of the play in 8 and 2nd (zone 2) vs. Winner of the play in 7. Those who prevail go to the inter-conference playoffs.
NOAH
There will be a play-in match with the best-placed home team on May 15. They will play it, on the one hand 7th vs. 10th and 8th vs. 9th on the other.
Rearranged according to positions, the playoffs will be played on May 19, 23 and 24 (if necessary) as follows: they will play 1 vs. 8th, 2nd vs. 7th, 3rd vs. 6th and 4th vs 5th. From there the four qualifiers for the inter-conference playoffs will come out.
WHOSE
In this division, the first advances directly to the next instance. The rest will play playoffs between May 18, 22 and 23, 2nd vs. 7th, 3rd vs. 6th and 4th vs 5th, best of three in 1-2 format with home court advantage for the one with the best record. From those three duels will come the other three that will access the inter-conference playoffs.
INTER-CONFERENCE PLAYOFFS
With four classified by division, the duels between conferences will begin. In the first instance, the first of their division will go against the fourth of the other and the second will do so against the third, considering that those of NOA will face those of Cuyo, those of NEA against Litoral, those of Center with those of Metro and those of Southeast with South.
