The Government of the Federal District (Brasilia) in the Federal Republic of Brazil has allocated space to the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Grand Brasilia Park (Park Cidade) in the Brazilian capital, to plant epi trees, which are considered a Brazilian symbol. On the occasion of Martyr’s Day in the Kingdom, which falls on the seventeenth of December every year, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Federal Republic of Brazil. On this occasion, a tree planting ceremony was held, which was attended by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Federal Republic of Brazil, Badr Al-Halabi, the Secretary of Foreign Relations of the Federal District Government, Paco Brito, senior officials of the Federal District Government and the Brasilia Grand Park, and a number of Brazilian journalists and representatives of the most important Brazilian media. Five Ipe trees were planted, which is considered a Brazilian symbol and is the most famous tree in the Federal Republic of Brazil. Ambassador Al-Halabi delivered a speech on this occasion, in which he stressed that this day, which His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ordered to be designated as a fixed national day every year to celebrate the martyrs of duty, coincides with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s celebration of its national holidays, and the anniversary of the accession of His Majesty the King. His Majesty the King holds the reins of government and the national events that accompany it. At the end of his speech, the Ambassador extended his thanks and appreciation to the government of the Federal District and the management of the Grand Brasilia Park for allocating a space in a distinguished location in the park bearing the name of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the heart of the capital, Brasilia, as these trees will remain the Brazilian national symbol and a symbol of the friendly relations between the peoples of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Federal Republic of Brazil.
