Japan increasingly relaxed entry rules for tourists in the land of Sakura. The government plans to waive the requirements Visa tourists from different countries.

He said that, as of the beginning of this week, foreign tourists (tourists) can come to Japan individually. There is also a plan whereby foreign tourists can be exempted from the tourist visa requirement if they have been vaccinated up to the third dose or show a negative COVID-19 test result prior to arrival.

At the end of August Fumio explained that tourists can travel in groups in Japan without a guide. However, tourists still need to order packages through agents and obtain a visa.

In the near future, Japan will apply the tourist visa waiver from 68 countries. Hence, the government also removed the daily visit limit in October.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Seiji Kihara said a weaker yen was more effective in attracting inbound tourists. He also added that further steps should be taken to attract foreign tourists to Japan.

Japan last week raised the limit on the number of daily tourists to 50,000. Previously, the limit dealt with by Japan was 20,000.

Additionally, Japan has also eliminated the COVID-19 test requirement prior to departure. This is a tactical move from Japan whereas many countries still apply these conditions.
