Construction worker Raymond Røskeland (38) and pastor Thor Haavik (27) became two famous faces when they participated in the TV 2 program «Farmen» in the autumn of 2020.
Since the participation, the two people from Bergen have maintained the good friendship, and on Sunday Haavik had the great honor of christening Røskeland’s son, Willyam Hamilton (3).

– A strong moment
– It’s good to finally get it done. We’ve been planning this for two years soon, so it was nice. He was very good, Røskeland tells Se og Hør after the baptism.
– I think maybe this is the fourth time we have tried to set a date. There have been restrictions and such. So it was long awaited. Finally we were baptized Willyam. We actually talked inside the farm that it had been very nice, Haavik recalls.
The baptism took place in Salhus church, where he works as a priest as usual.
– It is always great to be baptized, it is very big. It’s nice to be able to do something nice for friends. It gets a little more personal. It feels very nice to have the honor of naming the child Raymond and Sidney, Haavik adds.
The 38-year-old says that his son and “Farmen” friend have got a good tone, and that they have visited the priest several times so that they would get to know each other. And the little boy impressed during the baptism.
– It was a very strong moment while I was giving the sermon, then I had role play while I told a story. Then I was a blind beggar and sat down on the floor. Then Willyam came running to me and gave me a bottle. It was incredibly kind of him, praises Haavik.

Great stas
According to Røskeland, it was not just the two former “Farmen” participants who had a great baptismal experience. The main character Willyam also seemed to enjoy himself,
– He is three years old, so if he did not want to be baptized he could just turn around and run down from the altar again. But instead he ran up.
– He thought it was great fun. It was a little extra nice when he thought it was so fun, says the proud father.
And even though it’s been over a year since the duo was seen on the TV screen, both can testify that people still recognize them and think it’s fun to see them stay in touch.
– It is strange that even so long after “The Farm”, people who have seen us on TV come away. It was really fun, says Røskeland, while Haavik adds:
