A new “The Farm” season is well underway, and as in many seasons earlier, there is also this year sweet music between two of the participants. This time Simon Tronstad Jacobsen (23) and Tonje Frigstad (21).
Dagbladet meets them at a café in central Oslo a day and a half after they met for the first time after the recording. The reason for a three-week long stay is because Jacobsen lives in Oslo, while Frigstad lives in Kristiansand.
– What did you think when you saw Simon for the very first time?
– I thought he is tall and has long hair. “Who is this?”. Eventually I realized that he is a northerner as well, so I wondered how this would go. But it went very well then. First I got the impression that he is from Bergen, says 21-year-old Frigstad to Dagbladet.

– Did not hesitate
She says that the feelings for the Tromsø weather only got stronger and stronger as the recording progressed.
– It was good. We clicked very naturally. From the first moment it was just sick fun to hang out, it became natural that it was the two of us who were to hang out.
The young “Farmen” participant has had several boyfriends over the years. For Jacobsen, who has lived in the USA for a long time, the situation is completely different. He has never had a girlfriend, and describes the time he has had with Tonje as “something he has never experienced before”.
– Did you have any check tricks lurking?
– I had to hear what she was doing, what standing was and if she was single. You have to ask the essential questions. I did not hesitate for a second, says the 23-year-old, who continues:
– I noticed her eyes first. Then I heard that she was from Sørlandet. Exotic! I know virtually no one from Sørlandet. And then she’s smart, I thought she’s really real. I got a really good first impression.

Bright future
The “farm” couple makes no secret of the fact that it feels a little strange to be part of a TV romance that “everyone” should think something about.
– Yes, of course it’s a little strange. We are not “together” in that sense, we have not found out what we are for something or something. While “everyone” else thinks we should be lovers. Maybe we should find out for ourselves first, says Tonje, who is supported by his flirtation inside the yard.
– It’s weird with so much attention around this when we have not even seen each other in three weeks. Only that in itself is a surreal situation to be in.
Still: The two do not hide that they – as it looks now – are closer to status as lovers than the opposite.
– Right now I think the future looks bright. We have nothing to lose, Tonje thinks.
