Five vehicles belonging to members of the CA Aldosivi team were burnt in the car park of the club’s premises after they were set on fire by angry fans of the Argentinian football club following another league loss. Four players and one coach found the charred wreckage on Friday night.
As the Argentinian newspaper Ole reported on its website, disgruntled supporters of CA Aldosivi broke into the parking lot on Thursday at ten in the evening and set the players’ cars on fire. Firefighters in the city of Mar del Plata extinguished the fire after about an hour. No one was injured in the incident. The club condemned the vandalism of the fans, the case is already being investigated by the police. “Violence is never the way,” the club management said in response.
The Aldosivi players lost 0:2 on the Godoy Cruz field on Thursday. After 13 rounds of the highest Argentinian competition, they are in the relegated 27th position, when they have only eight points.
