“Star Wars” exhibition comes to Frankfurt
The world’s largest “Star Wars” fan exhibition “The Fans Strike Back” is coming to Frankfurt: After the successful exhibition in Berlin, which thrilled over 30,000 visitors, the show will take place from December 20th to March 23rd, 2025 Raumfabrik, Heddernheimer Landstrasse 155, can be seen. “The Fans Strike Back” will be shown in Germany for the very last time as it then moves on.
The fan-curated exhibition is more than just a collection of memorabilia – it is a tribute to over four decades of creativity, passion and dedication of the Star Wars fan community. The exhibition celebrates the cultural phenomenon of the science fiction world with over 1,000 unique, nostalgic collectibles. Visitors can look forward to life-size figures, more than 50 sculptures, photos, posters, costumes and much more.
A fan-made highlight is the life-sized Podracer, similar to Anakin Skywalker’s from “Episode I: The Phantom Menace.” The detailed replica offers visitors the opportunity to experience the iconic race on Tatooine up close.
The Command Bridge is a detailed replica of a Star Destroyer’s bridge, where visitors can view various starship models, including the famous Millennium Falcon. It’s an immersion into the galactic technology that shaped “Star Wars.”
Another eye-catcher is the scale replica of a snowspeeder from “Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back”. The 1:2 scale snowspeeder was also built by fans and offers a stunning perspective of the vehicle made famous in the Battle of Hoth.
For lovers of the little droid, there’s an extensive collection of over 120 official R2-D2 merchandise depicting the evolution of the iconic astromech droid – from early models to modern interpretations.
A collection of ten handmade lightsaber replicas immerses visitors in the fascinating world of the Jedi and Sith. It’s a perfect way to experience the saga’s most famous weapons.
Another interactive element of the exhibition is the life-size speeder bike, on which visitors can sit and have their photos taken. It’s reminiscent of the wild chase through the forest of Endor in “Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.”
“The Fans Strike Back” offers much more than a display of exhibits. Interactive experiences allow visitors to experience the saga up close. A special attraction is the virtual reality experience, which takes visitors into the world of “Star Wars” and ensures intense sensory immersion. The exhibition also offers numerous photo motifs that seem to come directly from the films, capturing unforgettable moments for visitors.
