A policeman is sitting remanded in custody after being arrested, suspected of kidnapping and murdering 33-year-old Sarah Everard.
Everard has not been seen or heard from since she left the apartment of a friend in south-west London at 9 pm last Wednesday. She was then on her way home to Brixton.
On Wednesday, human remains were found in connection with the search operation.
Everard’s family has now issued a statement through the Metropolitan Police requesting that witnesses appear.

“Our beautiful daughter Sarah was taken from us, and we want all the information that can help solve this terrible crime,” the family said. Sky News.
– She was kind, caring and reliable. She always put others first and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a brilliant example for all of us. We are very proud of her; she gave our lives so much joy, the family continued.

The family also thanked Everard’s friends who had helped search for her, as well as the police.
Furthermore, they asked for more help from the public.
– Please come forward and talk to the police if you have any information. No information is too insignificant, they concluded.
