The Faithful are at it again: Traitor is banned

In a new episode of ‘The Traitors’, the Faithful are after the Traitors. Last week, Traitor Ortál Friend (29) had to leave the program. Now the Faithful are at it again to play one away.

This article contains spoilers about The Traitors episode 8.

“It’s heavy. I’m really tired. It’s been beautiful”

Traitor Jamie Westland is visibly having a hard time. “I also feel it after two weeks of lying for fourteen hours a day, that gets tough at a certain point. That also destroys you.” It soon becomes clear during breakfast that Babette van Veen has been murdered by the Traitors. She trusts Toine van Peperstraten completely and she realized that Jamie is a Traitor. It’s as clear as a lump that she has to get out. But Jamie adds, “We love you.”

Frank Evenblij was friends with the murdered Babette. She foresaw last week that Jamie is a Traitor. He let himself be killed, while as Traitor he had a shield. This kept him in the game. Frank wants to discuss Babette’s findings at the round table. He does include Steven Brunswijk and Dionne Slagter in his plot. “I’m convinced it’s Stefano and Jamie. The two of them go one million percent on Toine. I’m going to tell those guys all day that I’m going on Toine.” Dionne is enthusiastic about Frank’s nefarious schemes. “I’m going with you,” she whispers.

“This is the ultimate way to give the Traitors a taste of their own medicine. And betray the Traitors,” says Dionne about the upcoming ballot. Stefano Keizers has no idea about the scheming. “I have the feeling that Jamie and I are the least suspicious of everyone.”

Frank drops ‘a real bomb’ at the round table, according to Stefano. “I made an appointment with Babette because we saw something”, Frank begins his plea. “Jamie, I think you’re the Traitor. That’s because something really weird happened, because one day there was no murder.” “Oh oh shit, what’s going on here?” you hear Jamie say in his confession.

“The Traitor has hit someone with the shield. That’s weird if you’re Traitor. Then you wouldn’t go after someone with a shield, would you? Unless the Traitor kills himself and uses his shield to stay as a diversion to make it look like he’s a Faithful.” Jamie keeps his cool. “Nice theory,” he replies.

Jamie thought everyone would go on Toine. “It all looked so good.” But the mood is different. Frank, Dionne, Steven and Toine join Jamie. Even Stefano votes for Jamie. “Probs for Stefano. He had to come,” says Jamie. He walks to the well-known dot, where he announces his role. “How can you? How can you do this? You were right”, Jamie says pointing to Frank and he walks away laughing.

Everyone is over the moon. They’ve got another Traitor. “So much relief,” says Frank. Jamie has to shed a tear. “You really don’t want to know how hard this has been. I underestimated it. I’m glad they see that the Traitors are also having a hard time,” he says, sobbing. “It’s heavy. I’m really exhausted. It’s been beautiful.”

Next week is the final of The Traitors at 8 p.m. on RTL 4.
