>>> Which stars do you have in your fantasy team?
Ups and downs: After ten defeats in the previous eleven games, he stayed FC Schalke 04 most recently unbeaten against Cologne and Mönchengladbach. Both games ended 0:0 – with a veteran Ralph Ferryman in goal and newcomer Moritz Jenz next to Maya Yoshida in central defense Schalke has not yet been defeated. The mood of the guests is different: After a great series of six wins in a row, there was for the VfL Wolfsburg most recently defeats in Bremen and against FC Bayern (plus the cup loss at Union Berlin).
FC Bayern Munich – VfL Bochum 1848
Strong at home vs. in form: The FC Bayern Munich hasn’t lost a home game in over a year – and in just one of 35 Bundesliga home games against the VfL Bochum suffered a defeat – that was more than 31 years ago in August 1991. However, the opponents came out of the winter break similarly well: both scored six points after the winter break, albeit in different ways – the Munich team was unbeaten (one win, three draw), VfL with two home wins.

Sport Club Freiburg – VfB Stuttgart
Ahead of the rival: The SC Freiburg is against VfB Stuttgart unbeaten in seven Bundesliga games (first two draws and most recently five wins in a row), longer than ever before. In the Bundesliga, Stuttgart’s last win against the South Baden team was on March 16, 2018, when Mario Gomez scored twice in a 2-1 away win. The general away record also gives VfB fans little hope: the Swabians have been without a win in 19 Bundesliga away games (nine draws, ten defeats), the last success abroad came on December 11, 2021 in a 2-0 win in Wolfsburg.
Gladly against each other: The FC Augsburg has not celebrated more victories against any club in its Bundesliga history than against the 1.FSV Mainz 05 (Eleven, as against Bremen). But: Since Augsburg’s promotion in 2011, the “zero fives” have not won as many home wins against the Fuggerstadt team (seven) as against any other club.
TSG Hoffenheim – Bayer 04 Leverkusen
turnaround: Die TSG Hoffenheim had 13 of the first 15 Bundesliga games against Bayer 04 Leverkusen lost, in the last 14 duels the Kraichgauers only lost three times (with six wins and five draws).
SV Werder Bremen – Borussia Dortmund
favorite opponent: Marco Reus scored more goals against no Bundesliga club than against the SV Werder Bremen (14). Total plays Borussia Dortmund like on the Weser: Werder’s last Bundesliga home win against BVB was more than eight years ago.
RB Leipzig – 1. FC Union Berlin
Boost thanks to Rose: Marco Rose took over RB Leipzig after the 5th matchday in eleventh place – since then the Saxons have scored 31 points with him in 14 Bundesliga games (nine wins, four draws, one defeat). The DFB Cup winner is in first place in the “Rose Table”. The Saxons have been unbeaten in 18 competitive games in all competitions (14 wins, four draws) and thus set a club record – there has only been such a long streak since promotion to the Bundesliga in 2016: from January to May 2019 under coach Ralf Rangnick.
Hertha BSC – Borussia Monchengladbach
longing for victory: Borussia Monchengladbach won the last two Bundesliga games against Hertha BSC – and in each case without conceding a goal. Away from the “Alte Dame”, the Rhinelanders have not won in four Bundesliga games (two Hertha wins, two draws).
1. FC Cologne – Eintracht Frankfurt
In a good mood towards a draw? Both clubs are still unbeaten in the Bundesliga in 2023 – for the 1. FC Cologne it is the first time since the 2008/09 season that they have gone unbeaten in their first four Bundesliga games after the winter break. Eintracht Frankfurt has not lost for seven Bundesliga games (four wins, three draws) – longer than ever before under Oliver Glasner. But there is a risk of a draw: The billy goats have drawn in the last three games, Frankfurt in the last three away games.
