The new song “Meeting” by the national heavy rock group “The Factor”, for which a video was also made, has arrived on music streaming services. It’s like a precursor to the band’s next album.
The last serious application of “The Factor” was the video for the song “Midnight Callers”, released in November 2018, directed by the obnoxious Kaspars Bindemanis. Subsequently, the rock group appeared again from time to time and promised new works all the time, for so long that they did not even believe that there would be any. But finally the new song is finished. According to the musicians themselves, it was “recorded at different times in the” Rock Shelter “studio and mixed by Jānis Eglītis in the” Record House “studio.” This time, the song is atypical in the native language for “factors”, but stylistically nothing has changed – “The Factor” still exudes an energetic and heavy, “old school” heavy hand.
At the microphone is still Edgars Rakovskis, the former leader of the band “Relicseed”, also author of the lyrics of the new song. The music was composed by the bassist of “The Factor” Mikus Wisendorfs, the main driving force of the group is always the guitarist Edijs Rudzis, while the other guitarist Kārlis Lukstaraupas found another use this time – he played the lead role in the video directed by Līga Vanagas. “I close the door, I don’t look back / I save my breath, I don’t say goodbye / I’ll see you again”, goes the song – although the content is much deeper, these words can probably also be applied to the “factors” themselves, which they are ready to return with new vigor.
