The fact that the house of the late musician Mohamed Abdel Wahhab was sold at a public auction

The family of the late Egyptian musician Mohamed Abdel Wahhab revealed the fact that his house was sold at a public auction.

The son and daughter of the “generational musician” explained that they had no knowledge of the existence of that house, which had been reported during the past few days about being offered for sale.

Effat Muhammad Abdel-Wahhab said, according to the “Sada Al-Balad” news site, that the family does not own a villa in Zamalek, Cairo, or anywhere, stressing that it does not know who is responsible for this strange news.

And she added, “Throughout our lives, we had an apartment in Zamalek, and when my father died, his wife, Nahla Al-Qudsi, resided there, and when she decided to leave the country and live with her son in Jordan, she sold the apartment.”

For his part, Mohamed Mohamed Abdel-Wahhab expressed his astonishment that his father’s villa, which he knew nothing about, was offered for sale.

He pointed out that the pictures of the decorations of that villa show that it is modern and does not belong to the era of Muhammad Abd al-Wahhab.

He said, during an intervention with the “Cairo and the People” channel: “My father owned a villa in the pyramid and sold it in 1952, and he had another villa in Alexandria Governorate, and he also sold it in the late sixties,” denying the existence of other villas.

He added that he contacted the auction site that offered the villa for sale, asking for more information.

News had circulated during the past few days about the intention of an international auction company specialized in selling real estate, to offer a villa that was previously a residence for musician Mohamed Abdel Wahhab in the Zamalek neighborhood for sale.
