The New York police are once again pinned for their methods deemed discriminatory. Amnesty International reveals that the NYPD uses facial recognition software in addition to video surveillance. Techniques used in more than 20,000 cases between 2016 and 2019. The organization believes that this particularly affects minorities and already stigmatized neighborhoods.
