Suara.com – A 15 year old boy in India tried to rape a 23-year-old woman after stalking the victim on Monday (10/25/2021).

Launching from The New Indian Express, Wednesday (10/27/2021), the incident occurred at around 12:45 local time. The boy dragged the woman to a nearby plantation in the Kondotty area and hit the victim in the face with a rock.

The boy tied the woman’s hands using his coat. However, the woman managed to escape and immediately ran to the nearest house from the scene.

Kottukkara Neighborhood Council arrived after the alarm went off. The woman was given first aid first and then taken to hospital.

“However, he managed to break free from his grip and ran to a nearby house when he tried to grab another stone to attack him,” said Ummer Farook, a member of the Kottukkara neighborhood council of Kondotty Municipality.

“The woman’s face is swollen. The assailant had torn off his clothes. We gave first aid to the injured woman and transferred her to Kondotty Taluk Hospital and then to Manjeri Medical University Hospital,” Farook explained.

The councilor said the woman usually took the bus from the intersection to go to the computer center.

From her home, the woman had to walk one kilometer to reach the Kottukkara T-junction. He usually takes a shortcut through the rice fields to reach a T-junction.

The perpetrator was a 10th grader as well as a district judo champion. He was identified from the information given by the woman and CCTV footage.

The woman said the assailant spoke Malayalam and she had seen him in the area several times.

Police said the boy had been detained on Tuesday (26/10/2021). The boy confessed to the crime during interrogation.

“The boy suffered several scars on his hands, neck and lips from the woman’s fingernails when he refused rape,” said Malappuram District Police Chief, Sujith Das.

“He told his parents that he got injured after he fell while trying to escape the chase dogs. However, during detailed interrogation, he admitted to having committed the crime.”

Kondotty’s inspector, Pramod, said the boy would be presented before the juvenile justice council.

“We will submit a report to the council, where we will mention that the boy had tried to rape and kill the woman,” Pramod said.
