The Eyes of the Storm: Unveiling Forgotten Treasures of the Beatles’ History

Video AP-LaPresse/Atlas Agency Although it seems impossible, there is still much to be told about the history of the Beatles. A forgotten treasure among the archives of Paul McCartney, makes up a new exhibition of the band at the National Portrait in London. The singer, fond of photography, has donated a series of snapshots that he himself took, between 1963 and 64, when the group went from gloomy theaters to large stadiums. 1,000 snapshots that come to light for the first time and that give meaning to how the Liverpool four experienced their rise to fame. The images capture numerous intimate moments of the band and offer a unique look at how the musicians perceived the phenomenon that was growing around them. With this exhibition, called ‘The Eyes of the Storm’, the gallery also celebrates its reopening after an ambitious remodeling, considered the most important in its history.
