Samira said that she was not afraid to repeatedly embody the characters of celebrities’ mothers, due to the different and diverse roles, and she expressed her happiness with this title that stuck to her, and she is proud and proud because real characters are respected and their history is honorable, and the role of the mother is important in anyone’s life, and the fact that she succeeded in this role has earned her something. Of weight and respect, she considers this an appreciation from the directors for assigning her these important roles.

Samira attributed the reason for her cooperation with her husband, the late author Mahfouz Abdel Rahman, in most of his works, to his belief in her abilities and talent, in addition to the presence of artistic and human chemistry between them, and he was nominating her to participate in his works before their marriage, as happened in the series “Antarah Bin Shaddad” and “Muhammad Al-Fateh,” and this continued. In his following works, including “The Hour Guidance Was Born,” “Writing on Burning Flesh,” “The Knights Sheath Their Swords,” “The Death of Al-Mutanabbi,” “The Night of the Fall of Granada,” “The Sweets Gate,” “Umm Kulthum,” “Halim,” and “ Ahl al-Hawa,” and she hoped to participate in his movie “Nasser 56” with Ahmed Zaki, but she did not find a suitable role for her.
Production support
Samira demanded the need for the government production sectors, represented by the production sector, the Cairo Voice Company, the Media Production City, and the Cinema Foundation, to return to producing series and films, as was the case in the past. She said that, after being selected as a member of the Senate, she submitted a request for the Egyptian state to support dramatic and cinematic production. She hopes to fulfill her wish, to present meaningful and high-value works that will return Egypt to its golden era in diverse dramas between historical, religious, social, comedic and spectacle, so that whims do not control the production process, the themes of the works, and the choices of artists and directors alone.
Retirement and comeback
Regarding the reason for her keenness to work in the State Theater throughout her career, and her cooperation in the past two years with Mohamed Sobhi in the plays “Our Disappointment” and “In the Highlights,” Samira said that after the death of her husband, Mahfouz Abdel Rahman, she fell into a state of depression and thought about retiring, until… One of her friends invited her to see a play by Sobhi, and she found respect and commitment in his theater. After the performance, he sent her the text of “Our Disappointment,” and she liked it.
Human relations
Samira Abdel Aziz indicated that her human and artistic relationship was strong with her colleagues, led by Faten Hamama, with whom she collaborated in the series “Conscience of Abla Hikmet” and “The Face of the Moon,” and she said that she was a model of mastery.
Regarding Omar Sharif, who played the character of his sister in “Hanan and Haneen,” she said that he was an example of humility despite his international fame.
