The modernization of the Porsche Cayenne will be significantly more extensive than regular facelifts.
The Porsche car company boasted another image that reveals the modernized Cayenne SUV, whose premiere is scheduled for the Chinese auto show in Shanghai. After the recent unveiling of the interior, we can now officially get to know the rejuvenated exterior for the first time, although we could already see it thanks to a leak through the infotainment display.
However, while there was only a digital image of the car on the infotainment, we can now see a detailed image of the front of the real car. At the same time, most of the attention is attracted by the new headlights, which have more angular shapes, a characteristic light signature with four points and the new HD-Matrix LED technology, thanks to which they should be twice as powerful.
Below the headlights, we can see the new grilles in the modified bumper, the shape of which was already hinted at by an earlier leaked image. Thanks to them, we also know that at the back we will see new LED lights that will be stretched across the entire stern. The rear bumper should also be new, which will match the evolution of the design of the entire car.
As already revealed by a look into the cabin, the interior will offer a 12.6-inch digital instrument panel, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and an optional 10.9-inch screen in front of the passenger. In addition, the Cayenne will get a steering wheel taken from the 911 model, a new ventilation control panel, more USB-C ports, new upholstery, etc.
Let us remind you that the now expected “new” Porsche Cayenne will be an upgrade of the third generation, introduced in 2017. However, instead of a regular facelift, the automaker has promised major changes in the interior and exterior, as well as a significant modification of the chassis and power units.
A more powerful plug-in hybrid powertrain with a larger battery, which will ensure a longer purely electric range, should appear under the hood. In addition, the modified chassis should provide greater comfort, better off-road capabilities and better experiences during sporty driving.
The modernized Porsche Cayenne will be presented on April 18, during the Chinese Auto Show in Shanghai.
