No more doubt, the army staff has precise information on the imminence of an attack against Algeria. The tone and semantics used in the last editorial of the magazine El Djeïch reflect the existence of this plan targeting the country and explain why the army sounded the alarm. Algerians must “be ready” to face the threat that “certain enemy parties pose to the security of the region”, warned the magazine El Djeïch in its last issue. While the post does not specifically cite the source of this threat, the hint is clear. It is indeed Morocco, this kingdom “sucked” by an expansionist delirium. Driven by the Gulf monarchies and Israel, Rabat carried out, almost a month ago, a military aggression in the buffer zone of El-Guerguerat, in violation of the ceasefire agreement with Western Sahara. This aggression has no other goal than to destabilize the Algerian strategic depth. “The threat posed by certain enemy parties to the security of the region lately, these threats, even indirect, concern us and we must be ready to face them,” El Djeïch warned, who was sufficiently clear as to to the response that the Algerian army will reserve when it comes to the defense of national sovereignty. Moreover, in the current situation, the Algerian army is forced into action “because our country has regional obligations imposed by its pivotal role, in addition to its unchangeable positions of principle of support for all just causes”. Reaffirming the determination of the ANP and the people to “overcome all the hazards and urgent objective constraints”, the army review called for the consolidation of the internal front to defeat enemy plans and counter hateful media campaigns against the ‘Algeria. The review also underlined, in its editorial, that the Algerian people “will go forward on the path of building the foundations of the new Algeria to which the generations of independence who have taken the oath of follow in the footsteps of their elders, faithful men, who made the supreme sacrifice for their country and their people.

The crisis in the Sahara will have been the last act of the hawkish scenario against Algeria, fomented with the complicity of Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Bahrain and Israel. But this is to ignore Algeria, this net exporting country of peace, as the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ramtane Lamamra, described it. An expression that the military-industrial complexes had never forgiven him, in collusion with the emirs of the Gulf. We remember how the US used all its weight to block the appointment of Lamamra, in order to prevent a peaceful settlement of the Libyan crisis. It is also to ignore this Algerian army which continues its “military revolution”. After acquiring 9K720 Iskander M hypersonic tactical ballistic missiles from the S-400 surface-to-air missile complex, it has just signed an agreement with Russia for the initial acquisition of
14 5th generation Sukhoi Su-57 fighter jets, worth $ 2 billion. It is clear that we will ask the nagging question: against whom is Algeria arming itself? The answer is quite simple: Algeria is arming itself so as not to bow down and not to sell off its principles.
