Al-Marsad newspaper: The former Saudi ambassador to Afghanistan, Lieutenant General Muhammad Eid Al-Otaibi, revealed that the Afghan leaders were exploiting the Saudi youth there. Since his arrival in Afghanistan, he decided that the file of returning them to the homeland would be his first file.
Narcotic cannabis
During his interview on the Middle Line program, Al-Otaibi told the story of his meeting with the Afghan leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, who supplied his Saudi followers who went to jihad with hashish.
Al-Otaibi said that his first meeting with Hekmatyar, who had a long beard and was distinguished by the fact that most of the students went to him, was when he decided to pray Friday prayers behind him, which was the first and last time he prayed behind him.
The worst person is a “priest”
He continued that he discovered that he was the worst person, describing him as a priest. He used to receive Saudi youth from the airport in Islamabad, take their passports from them, give them passports with another identity, and they would go to him and put them in the front rows, then they would gather people for jihad in Afghanistan, and he would send the Saudi students hashish. The drug, which was of 7 types, was shed by Hekmatyar.
He added: They give the Saudi students hashish until they get used to it, and they no longer leave unless they run out of money, and after we learned about it, we no longer came to it. The group used to call him the priest, and he is actually a priest.
He continued: We went to rent a large house that looked like a building, and we all lived in it together, and all the Saudis were afraid, as the Mujahideen had deluded them that if they went, they would kill them, and he added: A letter came from Prince Nayef that they should return to Saudi Arabia and that a preliminary investigation would be conducted with them, and then they would return and nothing would come of them.
They took advantage of the Saudis
He pointed out that some of the Saudis included those with Hekmatyar, some with Masoud Shah, some with Muhammad Yunus, and some with Al-Jilani, indicating that they benefited from the Saudis by collecting sums of money for them from the Mujahideen and giving them to them.
A Saudi citizen caught his attention
He added that a Saudi citizen among the wanted men caught his attention. He married a woman and after he married her, he went on his honeymoon in Kabul and left her there without money and she did not know where she was going. By investigating her, they found out who the person who was with her was.
He explained that the Afghans used to call the Saudis by nicknames such as Abu Hurairah, Abu Hanifa and other nicknames, adding that he sent the Interior Ministry to Prince Nayef about the Saudi who left his wife on her honeymoon inside the hotel without even paying for the accommodation.
