The incidence of coronavirus will be relatively high before the start of mass immunization of the population with vaccines. This was stated by the head of the laboratory of genetics of RNA-containing viruses of the Scientific Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums named after V.I. I.I. Mechnikov Stanislav Markushin.
“The incidence of coronavirus will be significant for a long time until mass immunization with new vaccines begins. One should not expect significant fluctuations in the number of cases, ”TASS quotes Markushin as saying.
The expert emphasized that the deterioration of the situation may be associated with the onset of an influenza epidemic and the difficulties of mass protection against coronavirus in winter.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that all Russian vaccines against coronavirus infection are effective.
