In The Expedition: Greenland eight well-known Flemish people undertake the 164 kilometer long Arctic Circle Trail from Kangerlussuaq to Sissimut in western Greenland. They cross-country ski with a 40-kilogram sled through the desolate area in icy conditions down to 35 degrees below freezing.

Into the company The Expedition: Greenland consists of actress Tine Embrechts, television maker Joris Hessels, presenter Viktor Verhulst, lawyer Sven Mary, actress Lynn Van Royen, politician Jinnih Beels, influencer Average Rob and singer Pommelien Thijs. They are assisted by two experienced arctic guides Henk-Jan and Brecht.

Completing this difficult journey is by no means self-evident. For example, we previously saw how Joris Hessels suffered from frostbite on his fingers, something that could mean the end of his expedition. It was also exciting for Lynn Van Royen when she almost fainted.

But in the end, Jinnih Beels is the first to leave the expedition. She had a very difficult time mentally from the start and that feeling only got worse in Greenland. “The people I like, who are in my close circle, are the most important people to me. And now it’s worse than usual because the connection with them is completely gone. You cannot send them a message or receive a message. That feeling of inaccessibility is unbearable,” she explains.
