/ world today news/ “We expect Mr. Simov to deal with small problems such as lighting, to be with the people who need him and to return Kardzhali to the citizens”
Poll: What change do you expect in your city – Kardzhali, if Sasho Simov is elected as a deputy in the 44th National Assembly?
Kardzhali is the ninth multi-mandate constituency. In our field, elections are always seen as a trade. Weeks ago we witnessed a spectacular scandal cleaned up by PP DOST, headed by Lyutvi Mestan. Each individual citizen is tired of listening to the hysterical words of Tsveta Karachncheva, to the sounds of Turkish music coming from big buses with the inscriptions “DOST”. And the competition between DPS and DOST is more than fierce. And the three parties together form the face of Kardzhali, which “contributes” to the decline of the city.
See some of the comments of people who want Kardzhali to change and become a decent city to live in. And they see the change in the face of Sasho Simov, who is the leader of the BSP list in the city of Kardzhali.
Stylyana Avramova, student: As a student, and as of this year an adult citizen of the Republic of Bulgaria, my assessment of the problems in our city is quite extensive. If Mr. Simov is elected as an MP, the changes I expect him to make cover various aspects of Kardzhali. One of the long-discussed problems suffering zero development is lighting. Unfortunately, no matter how many requests there are in the municipality, nothing is done about it. The same goes for stray animals. They are definitely a danger, especially to children coming home from school in the evening. Potholes are also a problem that does not tolerate development. The big streets and boulevards are in good condition, but it will refer to the small streets, the situation is deplorable.
From a student’s point of view, I would say that it would be a great initiative of the municipality to organize more competitions and performances for the students, since one of the big disappointments of the month of February was the competition in memory of the Apostle of Freedom – Vasil Levski, which competition was ” slumped over” without explanation. There were no prizes for the participants, and in fact, the reason is far different from a lack of participants, because the interest has always been high. Last, but not least, I would like to share that there are still quite a few flaws, but in general, these are the most painful. If all these “wishes” of the citizens of Kardzhali are satisfied, it will be great, but in no case should we forget that every new facility requires maintenance and a thorough review to make Kardzhali look like we want it to be! I strongly believe in Mr. Simov. I hope he will be the man to take care of our city.
Dimitar Georgiev, teacher: Above all, I expect Mr. Simov to be open to the people who need him. In one mandate, it is difficult to change anything in the city with this ratio of political forces. But at the very least, I hope he will make Kardzhali’s voice heard in the parliament. I hope he makes a commitment to the young people of the city – to assist them in their realization and professional development.
Hari Ivanov, pensioner: In the face of Mr. Simov, I see the alternative to all political lunatics. He is the only one who differs from all the other politicians who lead an aggressive policy that we witness every day. I am very glad that the BSP today means what it is by definition – a Bulgarian socialist party. I am glad that Sasho Simov has turned his attention not only to the city, but also to the Bulgarian countryside, where people live well below the poverty line.
Mr. Simov is a journalist by profession and he is aware of the weaknesses in the city. In Kardzhali there are many problems and they are all obvious – the lighting, the stray animals, the lack of cultural institutions and in general any cultural events and many others, but as I said, they are obvious.
The leader of the BSP list himself said – “Kardzhali is a cause”. Yes, Kardzhali is a cause, because we are losing our city. In Kardzhali, the people somehow lack courage, their dignity is trampled, they lack any self-esteem of Bulgarian citizens. The main mission of the future deputy should be to return Kardzhali to the citizens. I am convinced that Sasho Simov is the person who will make Kardzhali what we want it to be – that’s what I expect from him!
