AN EXHIBITION OF FOUNDING PRESIDENT RAUF RAİF DENKTAŞ’ MEMOIRS IS OPENING AT EMU
Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Social and Cultural Activities Directorate is organizing the “Denktaş Exhibition in EMU Memories” in memory of the 12th death anniversary and 100th birthday of the late Rauf Raif Denktaş, the Founding President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Denktaş Foundation, Assoc. Dr. The exhibition compiled from the archives of Hasan Cicioğlu and Journalist İsmet Ezel will also include photographs and materials from EMU. The Opening Ceremony of the exhibition will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 18:00, at the Rauf Raif Denktaş Culture and Congress Palace.
Curated by EMU Art Coordinator Zehra Şonya; The exhibition, to which student assistants contributed to the archive work and EMU Photography Club contributed to the installation phase, includes Denktaş’s photographs taken at the university, newspaper news of the period and related materials.
EMU Memories of Denktaş Exhibition will be open to visitors between 10.00-17.00 on weekdays until January 18, 2024.
