The exhibition can be visited for free at the Casa del Zapatero until November 21
The traveling exhibition ‘Fuerteventura, natural film set’, which has been carried out as part of the celebrations for the tenth anniversary of the Fuerteventura Film Commission, arrives in Betancuria after passing through Puerto del Rosario, Corralejo and Antigua.
The exhibition was inaugurated yesterday with the presence of the advisor of the Fuerteventura Film Commission, Nereida Calero, the mayor of Betancuria, Enrique Cerdeña, and the councilor José Cerdeña. It can be visited, free of charge, until next November 21 in the building known as Casa del Zapatero, from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Subsequently, the exhibition will move to the Morro Jable Bus Station from November 26 to December 10, as well as to the Gran Tarajal Library from December 16 to December 30, where it will complete its tour of the six municipalities.
‘Fuerteventura, natural film set’, which opened on September 16 in the Chillida Room of the Training and Congress Palace, proposes a tour of the main productions made in Fuerteventura and introduces the viewer to the less seen side of cinema with a series of unpublished photographs taken during filming.
This exhibition also represents a thank you to the audiovisual sector, which with its tenacity and effort has made it possible for the Majorera island to be recognized today as one of the best film sets in the world. In recent years, international film productions have been carried out in Fuerteventura, among which stand out Wonder Woman 1984, Han Solo: A Star Wars Story, The man who killed Don Quixote, Allies o Eternals from Marvel, among others. National productions include titles such as 30 coins, The Orca Lighthouse, Four cans, Solo, milk men, Surrender the males o The traveling salesman.
