From October 28 h 17 (opening event) until March 6, 2023, in the enfilade of the Liepāja Museum at Kūrmājas prospekt 16/18, an exhibition of graphic works by three outstanding Latvian artists of the interwar period – Kārļis Padeg, Roman Suta and Sigismund Vidberga, created in collaboration with the “Zuzeum” art center.
At the exhibition “Padegs. Suta. Vidberg. “Works from the Zuzān collection” in Liepāja Museum enfilade will exhibit about 60 original graphic works, mostly made in the interwar period, the period when all three authors perfected the their artistic handwriting as we know it today. It was characteristic of all three artists at some point in their lives to cause the indignation of a virtuous and civilized society. They tried to break stereotypes and demanded a change in the public’s ideas on correct and recognized values in art.
The exhibition is set up in collaboration with the “Zuzeum” art centre. Exhibition curator – art scholar Laura Briede, set designer – Andris Konošonoks. Graphic design author – Madara Krieviņa.
