KOMPAS.TV – As many as 16 residents of Karangbolong Village, Cigeulis Subdistrict, Pandeglang, Banten, were arrested by the police for allegedly following a deviant sect called Hakekok Balakasuta.
The 16 people consist of five women, eight boys and three minors.
The Pandeglang Police continued to investigate the alleged existence of a ritual of the Hakekok Balakasuta sect, which was held by residents of Karangbolong Village.
The Regent of Pandeglang, Irna Narulita, said that he was very concerned about the emergence of the Hakekok Balakasuta sect in his area.
For this reason, the district government will cooperate with MUI Pandeglang to foster the entire community, especially those who are directly involved in the Hakekok Balakasuta sect.
