BANDUNGKOMPAS.com – That night the sky was quite clear. Lia, who received information about the planet parade phenomenon that can be seen with the naked eye from April 24 to 29, immediately left her house at night.
In the attic of his house, at around 1.30 WIB he tried to observe this rare phenomenon. But at that time, the phenomenon was not yet clear.

County Resident Bandung West is then again trying to get out after eating sahur. Sure enough, on the east side Lia saw this phenomenon.
“At 4:00 after sahur, it turned out that on the other side, there was a universal phenomenon in the east. And Masya Allah the sky was clearer, so I could witness it live,” he said.
Astronomer and spokesperson for Boscha, Yatny Yulianty, explained that the planet parade phenomenon is a phenomenon when several bright planets can be observed simultaneously in the sky.
“Now it’s special because it’s in a row. The four bright planets (Venus, Mars, Jupiterday Saturn) has been observed in the sky at the same time since the end of March, but its position is not in the same line as it is now,” he explained.
The position of the four planets is almost in a row, can be seen in mid-April to late April.

The phenomenon of the alignment of the planets, is not a rare event, but also not a routine event.
The last planetary sequence occurred in July 2020. At that time, the three planets Mercury, Venus, and Mars could be observed in the sky before sunset. The three distances in the sky are quite large.
“Previously, the five brightest planets could be observed lined up in April 2002. At that time there were Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Venus, and Mercury,” he said.
This April, 4 bright planets can be observed simultaneously. This is an interesting phenomenon to observe with the naked eye. People don’t even need special tools or go to specific locations.
“Moreover, the positions of Venus and Jupiter are getting closer until they will be in their closest position (both) on May 1, 2022. This event is called a conjunction,” he explained.
“Well, this is also interesting because at close range it is possible to be in one field of view to be observed in a telescope or photographed for those who like photography,” he said.
The planet parade phenomenon will again occur on September 8, 2040.
“So this is a special opportunity,” he concluded.
