Ukraine and Russia have once again exchanged bodies of dead servicemen, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
The mortal remains of 94 Ukrainian servicemen were handed over by Russia, the Ukrainian Prisoner of War Coordination Headquarters announced today in the Telegram application. It was not revealed how many bodies Russia received and where the exchange, which was brokered by the International Committee of the Red Cross, took place.
Ukraine has been seeking to repel a full-scale Russian invasion for 21 months now. The periodic exchange of bodies of dead servicemen and, sometimes, prisoners of war, is among the few contacts between the two warring parties outside of hostilities, DPA said.
