A ridiculous incident thwarted the start of the investigation into the deaths of 29-year-old mother Evgenia Krumkova and her unborn girl at the Blagoevgrad Hospital after a gynecologist sent this morning by Medical Supervision suffered a heart attack, Struma reported.
The young woman died on June 16 on the operating table in the Blagoevgrad hospital after she was anesthetized. She had to give birth to her second child by cesarean section, because 3 years ago her firstborn son was born in the same way. Minutes after the anesthesiologist administered the anesthetic, however, Evgenia began to suffocate and, despite the team’s efforts, died. Doctors were unable to remove the baby from her womb.
This morning a gynecologist from the capital arrived at the Blagoevgrad Hospital to check the documentation related to the death of the young woman and her child. However, while he was waiting, he felt sick, and the medics at the hospital found that he had a heart attack. The auditor was operated on and two stents were placed. He is being treated.
According to the autopsy, the cause of death of the mother was acute respiratory and heart failure due to severely damaged lungs and inflammation of the internal organs caused by untreated Covid-19, from which the young woman fell ill in February.
The results of the histological tests are expected, as well as those of the inspection in MHAT-Blagoevgrad, which will continue with new inspectors.
