The Evolution of *NSYNC: A Reunion and Justin Timberlake’s Solo Success

“I wasn’t really affected by the end of the group,” Fatone, 46, told Yahoo Entertainment. “I was more surprised when he came up with music and didn’t know he was actually going to do an album and tour.”

Timberlake released his first album in 2002 with ‘Justified’. That album contains hits such as ‘Cry Me a River’ and ‘Rock Your Body’. Yet Fatone never resented Timberlake’s solo success. “It was because of the record company… When you’re younger you think it’s because of that person. But then you look at the whole bigger picture and you think: Oh, that’s why it happened that way.”

The band members recently reunited after being apart for twenty years. During the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony in September, *NSYNC, which consists of JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass in addition to Fatone and Timberlake, gave another group performance. They released a new song for the third animated film ‘Trolls Band Together’, in which they have guest roles: ‘Better Places’.
