The Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation (LBCI) has always been famous for the sophisticated political content it presents on its screen, in addition to other programs far removed from the world of politicians and the country’s economic and political conditions.
On the entertainment side, LBCI has presented many entertainment programs since its beginnings, including games and competitions in which many people across the country and the Arab world participated.
In this context, on “World Audiovisual Heritage Day,” we mention the most prominent entertainment stations that Lebanese Channel viewers have loved over the years.
The list begins with the program “Oh Night, O Eye” (1996) presented by Tony Abu Jaoude and Carla Haddad, followed by “Dissolve and Occupy” (2002) with Tony Baroud Der Kaloustian, which was filmed in a castle in France, and “Deal or No Deal” (2006) presented by Journalist Michel Sinan, “Hazi Ya Nawaem” (2007), a belly dancing competition conceived by director Simon Asmar.
At a later stage, that is, since 2010, the entertainment programs became different from the previous ones, as the “Celebrity Duets” program (2010) appeared, which was very popular, and “Top Chef” (2011), which included competitors from all over the Arab world, and the entertainment program The athlete “Splash” (2013) and the cooking competition show “My Amy is Stronger Than Your Em” (2017).
