LH Mikl-Leitner: “Trusting cooperation”
St. Pölten (OTS/NLK) – The Protestant Church in Lower Austria elected a new superintendent this Saturday at the superintendent meeting in Langenlois. The choice fell on Michael Simmer, previously a specialist inspector for Protestant religious education at secondary schools in Lower Austria.
“The state of Lower Austria has had a very trusting relationship and great mutual appreciation with the Protestant Church for many years. “I am very much looking forward to continuing this proven and strong partnership with the new superintendent,” says State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner about today’s election and congratulates the new superintendent on his “responsible and important task”. The state governor: “In challenging times we need orientation and support, cohesion and cooperation. Politics and the church have a great shared responsibility here, which we want to continue to assume together in the future.”
