The Eurovision Final: A Reflection on Democratic Diplomacy and European Identity

Yesterday was a half-empty day. Magnetic storms, a cold, sharp and sleepless work week made the opening game of the hockey tournament and the Eurovision final wait with open arms – there was no need to find excuses for not fulfilling personal obligations and plans. The hockey players and Don did not disappoint. We’ll talk about hockey in the coming weeks, but it’s worth noting a few points about Eurovision right now. May there be peace for a few years.

I have been following the competition for a long time since then Brainstorms times. I watch the tournament, get the necessary costs and lessons from it, and then I don’t watch it for several years. Until suddenly ours are in the finals, and Eurovision falls on a day when you don’t have to do anything. And when we need to have experienced something similar to everyone else, so that we can align our perspectives. Like yesterday.

In fact, everything is clear to everyone about the same European gay parade that ordinary people follow or have to follow. Eurovision, like the performance of our sports teams, are matters in which we are all familiar, and I say this without the slightest hint of irritation. Eurovision is an event of democratic diplomacy. It is like a bicameral parliament, where the common people and the upper echelon vote on relations with neighboring countries. In the background, an audio-visual presentation is offered to contextualize the vote, because it is clear that we are not interested in these other countries, and that we do not know anything about them.

So what countries are there today anyway? Flags – and not very meaningful ones either. A boy from Switzerland and other clowns were waving the newest version of the LGBT flag more than the symbols of the countries represented. We also saw that in the perspective of European geography there are no borders. All of Europe is an anonymous fringe of the Eurasian plate, without countries or cities. Some performances were not shown as happening before our eyes at all – they were performed with avatars without faces and listening to music locked in hologram matrices. It seems that last year’s winner had some stomach problems and did her exercises with a phonogram attached to an enema unit.

In the parliament of democratic diplomacy, known as Eurovision, the House of Lords does not consist of representatives of the nobility, but of hackers who have successfully read the fashion of the century. The most consistent former rebels. No, well, I don’t know anything about juries. But for some reason I have all kinds of Ritas Rudushas in my mind. Selma Lawrence after fifty. When you start to doubt the ideological course you have followed, but you have invested so much that you have to move on. And Europe must move on to “matriarchy”. So, the event was held by two girls. And in high places, in the opinion of the jury, castrates and other male objects with and without pants are usually harmless to anyone. As if everything was complete, Britain’s performance went to great lengths to show it literally, but it isn’t. on March follower?! We turn it higher and move further.

The end of Europe is indeed announced by anyone who is not busy picking up kilometers on running apps and paying tribute for the sin CO2, tpu, foot. And some of these preachers yesterday actually voted for all kinds of Lithuania and Estonia. But that is democratic diplomacy. What the department needs to do, it will do. A nation of singers who are afraid to sing for themselves and do everything for an image.

What next? Putin, Chinese and Muslims shake hands. Europe is even more attractive than one might imagine. There is soil to cultivate and establish order. Ai lav you sou mač, shenk you sou mač. Piss, piss. And in quality there. Sou, sou match. Glad that Israel, Ukraine won the plebeian contest. Musically interesting France and Portugal also greatly valued the common people. The French and Israeli songs are probably the only ones I will listen to again.

Croitean gathered all the votes from the punk voters, but for me that punk of a few years ago looks a bit exaggerated, funny to the feminism of the world. However, if this is the only alternative that appeals to Irish Satanists and Swiss snowmen, so be it. The failure of Finland, Estonia and another embarrassment to the United Kingdom should also be mentioned on the positive side. It’s a shame that there can’t be more last places, more pearls and shame to put out. Zeho pua for you, in Lithuanian.
