The European Commission has decided to recognize the Swiss COVID-19 certificate. Switzerland became the first country whose foreign document was recognized by the EU.

According to the publication, according to EU representative Christian Wiegand, the European Commission recognizes the Swiss COVID certificate, which will henceforth be considered equivalent to the digital documents of the political association.

It is worth noting that Switzerland is the first country outside the EU to add the certificate to an electronic system.

In particular, as Wieganda noted, EU COVID certificates will also be recognized in Switzerland.
