It is investigating a group involved in VAT fraud, and the preliminary damage is estimated at 32 million euros. In addition to Bulgaria, the campaign is also taking place in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Slovenia, announced the institution headed by Laura Köveshi.
During the operation, which began 2 days ago, there were 61 searches of the offices and homes of suspects. In addition to those arrested in our country, there are also detainees in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
During the first two days of the action, AirPods headphones worth 5.2 million euros were confiscated. The arrests began today. The investigation itself is from 2021. The group traded in electronics from Germany and sold them under the “missing dealer” scheme across Europe.
