“The European Commission Attacks Child Protection Law in Hungary”

The European Commission is attacking the child protection law on the grounds that it is incompatible with EU rules, but “we know very well that they are actually targeting the values of our Basic Law”, the head of the ministry stated in his post.

On Monday, Judit Varga took part in the Brussels conference of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium – MCC (MCC Brussels), the Foundation for Civil Hungary and the Hungarian-German Institute for European Cooperation on the Child Protection Act and the Rule of Law, where she emphasized that the committee is attacking the law that protects the children’s right to self-identity according to their birth gender and states that the mother is female and the father is male.

He considers it regrettable that leading European politicians formed an opinion on the child protection law before they had engaged in a meaningful dialogue with the Hungarian authorities, the minister wrote, adding that the forces welcoming the increasingly popular woke ideology managed to convince 15 EU member states to act Hungary against in the ongoing EU court proceedings.

He noted that in such a procedure the number of intervenors is not important, but the correct and correct interpretation of EU law, for example the separation of national competence and EU competence.
