The European Appreciation for the Soviet Cartoon: Discovering Hidden Meanings in Winnie the Pooh

In Europe, appreciated the Soviet cartoon.

The cartoon about Winnie the Pooh was adored by all the children in the USSR. And today in all post-Soviet countries it is reviewed with pleasure. But it turned out that this masterpiece came to taste in Europe. The Czechs appreciated it even more than the Disney counterpart. This was told on the Zen channel “Masha in the Czech Republic”.

Czech viewers were delighted that such a seemingly simple cartoon contained so many subtexts. The more you watch this cartoon, the more hidden meanings are revealed to the viewer. At first, Vinnie does not seem to be the smartest hero, but upon closer inspection, the viewer discovers that the bear cub is a cunning manipulator. Unlike the hero of the Disney series, who just loves to eat, our Winnie the Pooh is a real philosopher.

European audiences especially liked the voice acting. Even without knowing the language, they enjoy the voice of Yevgeny Leonov, which is perfect for the main character.
