/ world today news/ Finance ministers from the Eurozone agreed to wait for the result of the referendum in Greece before holding more discussions on the debt crisis in Athens, Slovak Finance Minister Peter Kazimir said.
“The Eurogroup is united in the decision to wait for the outcome of the referendum in Greece before further negotiations,” Kazimir said after the conference call with his colleagues.
“Let’s not put the cart before the horse,” he added.
Yesterday, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras made a complete U-turn in his position towards international creditors. Late last night he personally sent a letter to the creditors informing them that he was ready to accept their terms for financial assistance, but insisted on some additional conditions.
Late on Tuesday, eurozone finance ministers did not agree to extend Greece’s bailout program until the July 5 referendum passes. /AFP
