The Eurelian Polepharma cluster merges with the South-West Pharmaceutical Industries Group

Polepharma, headquartered in Chartres, and GIPSO joined forces in September 2020 by signing an alliance agreement to set up joint actions with better collaboration between the two organizations.

“The two organizations wish to further strengthen their ties and pool their resources and skills, but also to strengthen the representativeness of the pharmaceutical industrial sector at the national level, for the benefit of their members in all their diversity, pharmaceutical laboratories and suppliers. In this context, the two organizations considered a merger-absorption of GIPSO by Polepharma, the GIPSO brand remaining to designate the South-West network ”, details the press release.

The signing of this merger will take place during the extraordinary general meeting of Polepharma, this Thursday, September 30 in Évreux, in the Eure region. “This union responds more than ever to the challenges that the Covid crisis has revealed and that France must take up: regaining its place as the leading European producer of medicines, whether traditional or organic. A fight that we have been waging for many years ”, confides Philippe Ivanes, President of Polepharma.
