/ world today news/ The Vice-President of the European Commission for Economic Affairs, Valdis Dombrovski, invited the trade ministers of Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia to discuss the issue of banning the import of agricultural products from Ukraine. The meeting will be held in video format in the afternoon of April 19, the Polish news agency reported.
An open letter from the five countries to the European Commission in March called for the EU to intervene in assessing and addressing the impact of Ukrainian agricultural imports on the agriculture of the countries concerned and suggested imposing tariffs on Ukrainian products.
