The EU spent too much money on the war, so it is asking for additional payments – Dunakanyar Region

Not only would the European Union give Hungary the resources it needs, but it would even ask for additional payments, because it probably spent too much on the war, said the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior (BM) on Thursday in Ipolydamásd.

Bence Rétvári, who is also the KDNP member of parliament for the region, spoke at the building dedication event of the Ipolydamásd Education and Conference Center about the fact that the tug-of-war between Hungary and the European Union has been going on for almost a year.

The EU does not pay the funds that would benefit our country. All of this is happening despite the fact that the country has fulfilled all of the promised partial conditions. Regardless of this, the new disbursements have not started, added the state secretary.
Bence Rétvári said that the “founding fathers” created the European Union so that through economic cooperation there would be no more wars in Europe.

Now, however, we see that instead of being the engine of the continent’s development, the EU has become the engine of war. Hungary is a net contributor to the EU because it has fulfilled all payment obligations, while the EU does not fulfill its payment obligations, he said.

Border settlements have proven that EU funds can be used even in cooperation between countries. Cross-border relations are among the founding principles of the Union, as is the interoperability of borders. And the cross-border subsidies compensate for the fact that the economic and geographical features of the border settlements are usually peripheral, added Bence Rétvári.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior said that with the Ipolydamásd Education and Conference Center they responded to two social needs.
