500 million of this will be used to help households and businesses cope with fluctuations in energy prices, and the other 500 million euros will be used to improve infrastructure and transition to green energy.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said his country will receive 85 million euros from the EU as support for energy infrastructure.
