Funds for a complete of EUR 2.96 billion had been made to 10 nations
As we speak the European Union (EU) disbursed €2.967 billion by means of the Modernization Fund to help 39 vitality tasks in 10 EU member states, the European Fee introduced. These investments will help the modernization of vitality programs, the discount of greenhouse fuel emissions within the vitality, trade and transport sectors and the development of vitality effectivity.
The Member States benefiting from the primary fee for 2024 are Bulgaria (€65.2 million), Croatia (€52 million), the Czech Republic (€835.2 million), Estonia (€24.1 million), Hungary (€76.8 million), Latvia (€26.8 million), Lithuania (€59 million), Poland (€697.5 million), Romania (€1.095 billion) and Slovakia (€35 million). The tasks supported at the moment deal with the manufacturing of electrical energy from renewable sources, the use and implementation of renewable vitality sources, the modernization of vitality networks and vitality effectivity.
Bulgaria receives the funds to strengthen the electrical energy transmission community to help the mixing of renewable vitality sources in Bulgaria.
Funded by income from the auctioning of emissions allowances underneath the EU Emissions Buying and selling System, the Modernization Fund goals to help 13 lower-income Member States of their transition to local weather neutrality. The beneficiary Member States are Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, in addition to Greece, Portugal and Slovenia.
