/ world today news/ On December 6, the EU failed to reach unanimity on the economic support plan for Ukraine worth 18 billion euros due to Hungary’s refusal.
The EU has proposed an €18 billion loan to Ukraine in 2023 to help the country recover. The plan was approved by the European Parliament, but must also receive the support of all 27 member states in order to officially enter into force. At the meeting of EU finance ministers on December 6, however, Hungary refused to support it.
