The Estonian Minister of Education announces his resignation

“I want to provide my minor children with a safe and peaceful atmosphere, so today I decided to resign as Minister of Education and Science and take political responsibility for my mistakes in reconciling work and family life,” she said.

Repsa has headed the Estonian Ministry of Education and Science since 2016, but previously held the position from 2002 to 2003 and from 2005 to 2007. After resigning, she will continue working in parliament.

The Prime Minister of Estonia, the leader of the Center Party Jiri Ratass, has promised to nominate a new candidate for the position of Minister of Education in the near future, but at the same time thanked the Minister for her achievements and wished “success in the work of the Riga Council.

“Mailis is undoubtedly a strong minister, an old member of the party and a good friend. This is undoubtedly a great loss to both the education industry and the government,” he said.

Alars Lanemans, former Chief of Staff of the Conservative People’s Party (EKRE), led by the Conservative People’s Party (EKRE), has just replaced two ministers in the Ratas government on Wednesday, replacing Marta Helmi, vice-president of the EKRE, who resigned on 9 November following his scandal. allegations that the US presidential election was not fair and that the winner, Joe Biden, was corrupt.

Rain Eplers, a representative of EKRE, became the new Estonian Minister of the Environment on Monday, replacing Reni Kok, who announced his resignation this month due to health problems.
