The community of Castilla y León has recorded a slight increase of 0.06 percent in the estimated number of births published this Wednesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) compared to the month of October, when 1,106 births were reached and a total of 10,933.
For its part, the national total decreased by 2.13 percent compared to the same moment last year with a total of 28,262 births and a cumulative number of 273,930.
And compared to the 2019 data, the drop in births which in October stood at 8.99 percent in Castilla y Len, in this case lower than the national average (-8.67 percent).
Most of the births registered in Castilla y León in the month of October were registered in Valladolid, with 253 and 4.83% more in the total accumulated so far this year; follows Len, with 172 births and in this case 4.86 percent fewer; Burgos, with 179 births and 0.54 percent more, and Salamanca, with 157 births and 1.10 percent more.
The rest of the provinces are below one hundred births. Specifically, Segovia recorded 82 births, 15.03 percent fewer; Zamora 69 (-4.00%); vila 68 (-2.13 per cent); Palencia 63 (13.44 percent more) and Soria 63 (+4.05 percent).
According to this statistic, Castilla y León has a total of 9,830 births accumulated in the year, led again by Valladolid, with 2,660 and 3.74 percent less than in 2019. León follows, with 1,821 births (-7.80 percent ); Burgos, with 1,757 (-13.43 percent), and Salamanca, with 1,492 (-6.85 percent).
In this case, the rest of the provinces are under 1,000 births, such as Palencia, with 798 (+1.46 percent); vila, with 711 (-10.74 percent); Segovia, with 689 (-20.89 percent); Zamora, with 561 (-20.81 percent), and Soria, with 445 (-7.80 percent).
