Five decades after the arrival of Pedro Almodovar in Madridthe Condeduque Contemporary Culture Centre opens its doors from 12 June to 20 October to pay tribute to him. Exhibition room 1 will welcome those curious who wish to understand the relationship between the director from La Mancha and his adopted city. The exhibition, curated by Pedro Sanchez Castrejonauthor of All about my Madridis a true journey through Pedro Almodóvar’s filmography. The exhibition includes a collection of more than two hundred photographs, posters and objects, most of which were provided by the director’s production company, complemented by contributions from institutions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Reina Sofía Museum and the Spanish Film Library.
Rosary of Velasco

The Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum, together with the Museum of Fine Arts of Valencia, recovers the legacy of the Spanish painter Rosary of Velascoone of the most important representatives of the Generation of 27. Curated by Miguel Lusarreta and Toya Viudes de Velasco, the artist’s great-niece, the exhibition displays thirty paintings from the 1920s to the 1940s, highlighting her early career, as well as a section dedicated to her graphic illustrations. It includes works known as Adam and Eve from the Reina Sofía Museum and other unpublished works, recently recovered from private and family collections.
