The Error Is Not On Nadiem Makarim, Which Is Worth Blamed By President Jokowi – FAJAR

FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Mobilization Organization Program (POP) initiated by the Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim triggered a conflict. The policy was considered unwise and not populist (populist).

Moreover, two foundations owned by large companies, namely the Tanoto Foundation and the Sampoerna Foundation, were included in POP. Nevertheless, this is not Nadiem Makarim’s fault.

This was stated by former Chairman of PP Muhammadiyah, Din Syamsuddin in his statement, Wednesday (07/29/2020). “The mistake was not with Nadiem Makarim,” he said.

However, the full blame was on President Joko Widodo, who had appointed the Gojek boss as Minister of Education and Culture.

“The one who is very guilty and should be blamed, and should be responsible, in my opinion, is President Jokowi himself. He is the one who decided to appoint a minister, “said Din.

Din assessed, Nadiem was only a young man who might be because he was more abroad and not sufficiently knowledgeable and had knowledge and appreciation of domestic problems.

“And only has an obsession that doesn’t hit the earth,” Din Syamsuddin said.

Therefore, Jokowi who appointed and gave mandate to Nadiem, said Din, should be held accountable.

The reason, the decision to appoint a minister despite being stuck from his existing political fatsun was also blamed.

Because of that, Din also wondered, lest Jokowi himself, who actually did not understand the national history of Indonesia.

“Or is it possible that President Jokowi himself did not adequately understand the history of Indonesian nationality and dared to make decisions that left the political norm? he said.

At present, the Ministry of Education and Culture has been running and has been rejected by the two largest Islamic mass organizations in Indonesia.

Namely PP Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama who have a long history in the world of Indonesian education.

The Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama’s steps were then followed by PGRI who later also left the Ministry of Education and Culture POP.

Therefore, it is fitting for the Ministry of Education and Culture to stop POP. “Now rice has become porridge. The program should be stopped, “Din said.

He then suggested that the Ministry of Education and Culture currently focus on handling Covid-19 in the education sector.

“It is better for the Ministry of Education and Culture to work hard and be smart in overcoming the problems of national generation education which is due to the Covid-19 pandemic which, according to an education expert, causes the potential loss and even generation loss,” concluded Din Syamsuddin.
