The ERPs charged BGN 20 per month per household –

/ world today news/ The ERPs cost BGN 20 per household per month, deputy Tasko Ermenkov calculated in the program “Hello, Bulgaria” on Nova TV.

“850 million is the established illegally generated revenue from the ERPs. Divided by 1 million users over 4 years, it means that each household paid BGN 20 illegally to the ERPs every month,” said Tasko Ermenkov.

According to him, there are violations that should be punished, and the fines should not affect the electricity prices for consumers.

“If licenses are revoked, the reason will be violations,” said Ermenkov. “The case with the ERPs is an indicator of whether, after so many years, the rule of law will be implemented.”

According to him, the companies were not audited from 2008 to 2012.

He rejected accusations that the attacks on energy companies were part of the election campaign.

“The numbers are not the result of one week’s work, and we can hardly connect the activity of the State Environmental Protection Agency with the elections,” commented Ermenkov.

The deputy also rejected the accusation that he lobbied in the interest of Gazprom with the legislative changes for “South Stream”.

“There is no letter from Gazprom telling us to insert a legislative text. I swear on my name and honor,” said Ermenkov. “We have introduced changes in the law to synchronize the Bulgarian legislation. We have discussed them with the Ministry of Economy and Energy”.

According to him, with the changes in the law, a clear distinction of responsibilities has been made. “We have a marine part of the pipeline that connects the Russian coast with the Bulgarian one. Anyone who brings gas here will have access to the receiving station,” said Ermenkov.

He explained that the marine part of the gas pipeline was separated, and for the rest of the pipe they gave Commissioner Oettinger the opportunity to lead the negotiations with Russia.
