Putin emphasized the statement when speaking at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Friday (17/6/2022).
President Putin added that after the end of the Cold War, the United States (US) declared its national interests “sacred” and should not be undermined.

Putin delivered a speech at the SPIEF annual business forum in St Petersburg dedicated to the future of Russia and the rest of the world after renewed pressure from western sanctions against Moscow.

He went on to emphasize that the so-called “golden billion” countries still believe they are superior and regard the rest of the world as their colony.
